Youth Development in Your Community
Inspiring youth through experiences, connections, essential skills development and certifications to prepare them to enter the workforce and grow as community leaders.

INSPIRING YOUTH
Youth Employment Program
The Youth Employment Program (YEP) was designed to provide youth aged 15 – 19 with an opportunity to learn about local businesses and gain essential life skills that will prepare them to enter into the workforce.
We work closely with our clients to set program goals that are specific and relevant to their youth each year. Together, we determine the priority elements within each program, from longer, hands on job shadowing opportunities, site visits to local businesses, life and employment skills training to certifications such as First Aid and Foodsafe.

What is YEP?
The Youth Employment Program (YEP) was designed to provide youth aged 15 – 19 with an opportunity to learn about local businesses and gain essential life skills that will prepare them to enter into the workforce.
Our main goals for the program are to:
-
- Give participants an opportunity to connect with local businesses and explore what employment with these businesses could look like
- Provide participants with tools and resources to support gaining employment
- Equip participants with completed resumes and cover letters
- Help participants build connections to easily access employment opportunities
- Build confidence through essential skills development
- Get participants excited about entering the local workforce
The program is a week-long experience, with a mix of in-class, essential life skills development, as well as site visits to local businesses. Participants will complete resumes and build connections with employers that could lead to employment opportunities.
Our B968 Programs Team takes care of all program coordination including:
